I want to be the dietitian who listens and helps women understand their bodies, their hormones, and their unique needs through every stage of life. So often, women are underserved, misdiagnosed, or simply told to 'eat less and exercise more' - and that must change."

Hala Barghout

I'm a Dubai-based registered clinical dietitian with nearly 18 years of experience and a dedication to educating people about health and nutrition. I earned my B.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the American University of Beirut in 2005, and my efforts have reached diverse audiences through health centers, universities, corporations, and fitness centers across the UAE.

I founded a healthy food delivery company called Colour My Plate in 2016, to educate people on healthy eating and provide nutritious meals nationwide. My training at a governmental hospital in Dubai and my work in clinics and gyms exposed me to a wide range of clinical and weight management cases, deepening my understanding of food as medicine. I actively collaborate with restaurants to develop healthy menus and continue increasing health awareness across the community, teaching people how to make informed choices during grocery shopping. I also do a lot of work in schools, as I believe the key to tackling the obesity epidemic is to educate people about health and nutrition early in life.

I'm passionate about raising awareness among women about hormone health, emotional eating, and adopting a sustainable healthy lifestyle. From PCOS to pregnancy to perimenopause, I believe women deserve care that's rooted in science and compassion.
